Nejc Trampuž (1993) is a multi-award-winning new media artist from Slovenia, who has presented his work at around 100 exhibitions, festivals and other events. He operates somewhere between multimedia and technology, ecology, social issues, and activism. He is known for his audiovisual, often interactive artistic experiments, presented in a saturated, collage-like aesthetic. He explores diverse artistic approaches and technologies such as artificial intelligence, animation, automation, interactivity, the internet, film, video, sound, glitch, projection, light, and more.

He studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (ALUO) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2016 and received the Prize for Outstanding Master's Thesis in 2019 for the project Error as a Transformative Method / WorldCrash.img. The project was exhibited in a major Slovenian cultural institution Cankarjev dom (SI), in the nature surrounding MGLC - Švicarija (SI), and in Simulaker Gallery (SI). In 2018, he completed a semester of study at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (VŠVU/AFAD) in Bratislava (SK) as part of an exchange program.

Among Trampuž's most prominent projects are Another Future Entirely (2022-2023), a research-based multimedia project he carried out under the production of the konS = Platform. The project premiered at Simulaker Gallery (SI), and was subsequently presented at the Museum of Modern Art Ljubljana (SI), Cukrarna Gallery (SI), Velenje Gallery (SI), the 29th International Festival of Computer Arts (SI) and other venues. In 2023, he was invited to collaborate with director Matej Filipčič on the visuals set design) at the official ceremony of Slovenia's Statehood Day, which addressed the theme of environmentalism in Slovenia. His experimental animated short film Rooted in Code (2023) - one of Slovenia's pioneering AI-generated films - won the main prize for Best Film at the Greek International Film Festival Balkans Beyond Borders (GR) and the Jury Prize at the Kurz Klub Festival (SI). The film tour, which began at the Osmo/za Gallery (SI), has so far included 19 international festivals and exhibitions, including FeKK (SI), Kino Otok (SI), Trieste Science+Fiction Festival (IT), Suncine (ES), Festival of Independent Film (SI), Pisa Robot Film Festival (IT), Kino Bled (SI), DigitalBigScreen/Speculum Artium (SI), Videomedeja (SRB), Kvaka 22 Gallery (SRB), and others. In 2024 he presented Solandium 2063, an experimental computer solarpunk game with integrated artificial intelligence, which premiered at Miklova hiša Gallery and was later exhibited at Kulturni Inkubator Gallery, at the Majski Salon 2025 in Ptuj City Gallery, and received an Honorable Mention at the Social Art Award 2025 by IFAI Berlin (DE). Trampuž is also the co-author (with Dorotea Dolinšek) of the science-art project Astrotop_X (2024), which was produced under the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 and premiered at the Xcenter in Nova Gorica (SI).

He has received several other awards, including the Simulaker Call Award 2019 (SI), an Honorable Mention at ON_Award 2018 in Bratislava (SK), and was also a finalist at Primavera 2019 (SI). He served as a member of the juries of the student sections of Animateka 2017 (SI) and Plaktivat TAM-TAM (2021-2023), and a member of the pre-selection comittee of the film festival Balkans Beyond Borders 2025 (GR).
