The photograms, created using silver gelatin prints, explore light through experimental cameraless darkroom photographic techniques; a kind of painting with light. The artist mixed everyday liquids of different viscosity and density, such as water, oil, honey, or dishwashing liquid in a plastic container. It was then exposed to light over photographic paper, capturing the shadows and traces of interactions among liquids. The resulting images evoke the appearance of microscopic organisms or cellular structures, though they depict nothing of the sort. Through this process, the work enters the realm of abstraction, using a simple physical experiment to transform the familiar into something completely different and strangely alive.
