Nejc Trampuž - Award-winning Slovenian new media artist and photographer

Nejc Trampuž novomedijski umetnik

Nejc Trampuž (1993) is a multi-award-winning new media artist from Slovenia, who has presented his work at around 100 exhibitions, festivals, and other events in Slovenia and abroad. Operating somewhere between intermedia, technology, ecology, social issues, and activism, Trampuž is recognised for his speculative audiovisual, often immersive, interactive digital artistic experiments, presented in a saturated, collage-like aesthetic. He critically and speculatively researches the future through artistic approaches and technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the internet, interactivity, film, glitch, and more. Among Trampuž's most prominent works are the internationally awarded solarpunk computer game Solandium 2063, Slovenia's first AI-generated film Rooted in Code, and the research multimedia project Another Future Entirely. Nejc studied photography and received an award for his master's thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, with part of his studies completed through an exchange program in Bratislava (Slovakia) at the local Academy of Fine Arts and Design.
